Jebel Ali Village in Dubai is one of the city's oldest and most cherished residential areas. The Nakheel-renovated Jebel Ali Village lies near the Ibn Battuta Mall, right off Sheikh Zayed Road. It has 290 villas ranging in size from two to six bedrooms. Jebel Ali Village opened in 1977 as a housing complex for construction workers. With its port, airport, and township, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum sought to turn Jebel Ali into a built-up industrial region.
